The boy who lost his face

I dont really like this book- I'm not a fan of louis Sachar anymore... It's about a boy called David (i think) and he is really unpopular. He wants to get popular so he tries doing all these wierd and troublesome things. In the end there's a part where the author puts in a flashforward and there's a boy which says when he grows up, he wants to be just like David. I read this ages ago so don't ask why i wrote so little
